Death By Chocolate
Main Street Merchants will once again be host to chocolate lovers of all ages as you go from shop to shop filling in your playing card for a chance to win lots of prizes donated by the local merchants.  Fun begins at 11 a.m. and ends at 6 p.m.  Prizes will be awarded at Waterside Inn conference room at 6:30 p.m.  Contact Ruthanne Mason at 757-336-3434 for more details.

"It's About Them Now" Walk-Run-Ride
Beginning at Chincoteague Chamber of Commerce parking lot at 8:00 a.m.

Plein Air Event
Art lovers mark your calendars. The 8th Annual Chincoteague Plein Air Painting Event will take place during the weekend of September 9th & 10th. Over 40 artists will spend 2 days painting outdoors on Assateague and Chincoteague Islands. On Saturday evening the 10th from 6 to 10pm those framed paintings will be on exhibit for viewing and sale. This exhibition is free and open to the public. It will be in Paschal Hall at St. Andrew’s Church at 6288 Church Street in Chincoteague.  The Plein Air Event is sponsored by Chincoteague Cultural Alliance and is part of the monthly 2nd Saturdays Art Stroll.
